The words of which the initial letter is capitalized have meanings defined under the following conditions. The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or in plural.
For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions:
These Terms and Conditions govern Your use of the Service and form the agreement between You and the Company. By creating an Account or otherwise accessing or using the Service, You agree to be bound by these Terms. If You disagree with any part of them, You may not use the Service.
You represent that You are at least 18 years old. The Company does not permit anyone under 18 to register for or use the Service, and enforces this at registration based on the birth date You provide — see Our Child Safety Standards for how this is verified and enforced.
Your use of the Service is also conditioned on Your acceptance of Our Privacy Policy, which describes what information We collect and how We use it. Please read it before using the Service.
Registration requires signing in with Google. This ties Your Account to a real, externally verified identity rather than an anonymous one. We may offer additional sign-in methods in future; this section will be updated if We do.
Once registration is complete, Your name, gender, religion, mother tongue, and birth date, time, and place cannot be edited from within the app. This is a deliberate safeguard against profiles being altered to misrepresent who is behind them after other users have already seen and interacted with the original details. You can still update Your current location, marital status, and dating/marriage intent at any time.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of the device and Google account used to access the Service, and for all activity that occurs under Your Account. Notify Us immediately if You suspect unauthorized access to Your Account.
Like Minded helps You discover and connect with other users based on Vedic astrology compatibility (Nakshatra and Guna / Ashtakoot scoring), calculated from the birth date, time, and place each user provides, alongside filters such as age, religion, mother tongue, marital status, and distance.
Compatibility scores are informational, not a guarantee. Guna and Ashtakoot scoring reflects a traditional astrological method of assessing compatibility. It is provided to help You make Your own decisions and is not a scientific prediction, a guarantee of relationship success, or a substitute for Your own judgment about a person. The Company is not responsible for the outcome of any relationship, conversation, or meeting arising from Your use of the Service.
Chatting with another user requires an active chat-access pack. Messages are end-to-end encrypted — see Our Privacy Policy for how this works. Pricing, billing, and refunds for chat-access packs are described in Our Pricing Policy and Return and Refund Policy.
You need at least one profile photo to use the Service. Every photo You upload is automatically screened before it is stored: We reject photos containing explicit or sexual content, and photos that do not clearly show a person's face. This check runs on every upload and We may update its criteria at Our discretion to keep the Service safe.
You are solely responsible for the profile information and photos You submit. By uploading a photo, You confirm it is of You, accurately represents how You currently look, and that You have the right to share it. Creating a profile using another person's identity or photos, or otherwise misrepresenting who You are, is prohibited and grounds for immediate removal from the Service.
When using the Service, You agree not to:
Every profile can be reported in a single tap, for any reason, directly from the profile itself. Reports are reviewed by a member of Our team, not resolved purely by automation. We may suspend or permanently remove an Account and its content — including profile photos, messages, and any other data — at Our discretion, with or without notice, where We believe these Terms have been violated.
Chat-access packs are one-time purchases processed through Google Play Billing or the Apple App Store, with entitlement management handled by Our subscription infrastructure provider, Adapty. These are not auto-renewing subscriptions — access lasts for the duration of the pack You purchase and does not renew automatically. We do not receive or store Your full payment card details, which are handled entirely by the applicable app store.
Refunds are governed by Our Return and Refund Policy and, where applicable, the refund policy of the app store through which You purchased.
The Service, including its design, features, and the Like Minded name and branding, is owned by the Company and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of the Content You submit, but grant the Company a license to store, process, and display that Content as necessary to operate the Service — for example, showing Your profile and photos to other users as part of the Service's core matching function.
The Service relies on a small number of third-party providers to function, including Google (Sign-In, Firebase push notifications and analytics) and Adapty (purchase entitlement management). The Company has no control over, and assumes no responsibility for, these providers' own terms, availability, or practices beyond what is described in Our Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate Your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including if You breach these Terms. You may also delete Your Account at any time from within the app, under Settings → Privacy & Data — this permanently removes Your profile, photos, likes, and messages, including conversations shared with other users, and cannot be undone. Upon termination, Your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Company disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The Company does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any compatibility score, match, or other user's profile information is accurate or complete — profile details and photos are provided by users themselves, and the Company does not independently verify their accuracy beyond the checks described in these Terms.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the entire liability of the Company under these Terms, and Your exclusive remedy, is limited to the amount You actually paid through the Service in the six months preceding the claim, or ₹1,000 if You have not purchased anything through the Service.
In no event shall the Company be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of data, personal injury, or damages arising from Your interactions with other users met through the Service, whether online or in person. You are solely responsible for Your own safety and judgment when communicating with or meeting another user.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Country, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. If You have a concern or dispute about the Service, You agree to first try to resolve it informally by contacting Us at the details below.
If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, that provision will be interpreted to accomplish its objective to the greatest extent possible under applicable law, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. Our failure to enforce a right under these Terms does not waive Our ability to enforce it later.
We may modify these Terms at any time. If a change is material, We will make reasonable efforts to provide at least 30 days' notice before it takes effect, such as through an in-app notification. By continuing to use the Service after a revision becomes effective, You agree to be bound by the revised Terms. If You do not agree, please stop using the Service and delete Your Account.
