To create a profile and use Like Minded's matching and chat features, We collect the following information directly from You during registration. Your identity-defining details are locked once registration is complete and cannot later be edited from within the app:

Why We ask for birth date, time, and place: these are used solely to calculate Your Nakshatra and Guna (Ashtakoot) compatibility score against other users — the core matching feature of the Service. Religion and mother tongue are used to power match filtering and are shown on Your profile to other users, in the same way they would be in an in-person introduction. We do not sell this information or share it with third parties for their own advertising purposes.
With Your permission, We collect Your precise device location to show You nearby matches and to let You sort Discovery results by distance. You can disable location access at any time through Your Device settings, though this will limit distance-based features.
Chats between users are end-to-end encrypted. Messages are encrypted on Your device before they are sent, and only the intended recipient can decrypt them. The Company's servers store only encrypted message content and cannot read the contents of Your conversations. A recovery passphrase, known only to You, allows You to restore Your chat history if You sign in on a new device.
If You purchase a chat-access pack, the transaction is processed through Google Play Billing (or the Apple App Store, where applicable) and, for entitlement management, our subscription infrastructure provider, Adapty. We retain a record of Your purchase history within the Service so You can view it, but We do not receive or store Your full payment card details, which are handled entirely by the app store.
We automatically collect certain information when You use the Service, including Your device's push-notification token (used to deliver alerts about new likes and messages), app interaction data such as profiles You like, view, or skip, and standard diagnostic data such as device type, operating system version, and crash logs.

Like Minded is intended solely for individuals aged 18 and older. We verify age at registration using the birth date You provide, and We do not knowingly permit anyone under 18 to create an account. If We become aware that a user is under 18, We will suspend and remove that account.
